The KACE GO app provides access to the KACE SMA Appliance from any location, allowing IT professionals to remain effective across various work settings and while on the move. With the ability to review and respond to real-time service desk alerts, examine inventory details, and deploy software remotely, IT administrators can now deliver agile service and systems management support without the confines of a traditional workstation setup. Although primarily tailored for IT administrators, the app also enables end users to submit service desk tickets, access the Knowledge Base, and check existing ticket status using their mobile devices.
Note: This product requires KACE SMA 10.1 or higher for functionality. VPN connection may be necessary depending on network configuration; users can utilize their preferred VPN solution when off the local network.
Capabilities for SMA Administrators:
- Create, review, update, clone, delete, and resolve service desk tickets.
- Search for tickets or computer systems.
- Sort tickets by age, priority, owner, and status.
- View attachments on tickets and attach photos to ticket comments.
- Add comments and work entries to tickets; view ticket history.
- Search for Knowledge Base articles and include them while troubleshooting.
- Receive real-time alerts via push notifications and set notification preferences.
- Search and distribute active managed installations; run scripts.
- View and update ticket history and fields; manage assets and machines.
- Receive server monitoring alerts from the K1000, view alert details, and create service desk tickets from alerts.
- Create, review, update, or delete assets; scan barcodes to lookup or create new assets.
Capabilities for KACE SMA End-Users:
- Create, review, or update service desk tickets; search for past tickets.
- Sort tickets by age, priority, owner, and status; view attachments on tickets and attach photos to comments.
- Receive real-time alerts via push notifications and set notification preferences.
- Launch phone dialer or email client directly from service desk tickets; access knowledge base articles.
